Tiger-Striped Bikes on Display at One-Day Showcase
SATURDAY: Tiger-Striped Bikes on Display at One-Day Showcase
Artists to auction rideable artwork for neighborhood cause
WHAT: From military-inspired tiger stripes to a sea glass mosaic, artists from around San Diego present a series of custom bike frames. The one-day showcase will support Young at Art, an Ocean-Beach organization that empowers children through creativity. Guests can enter to win the bikes and support a local cause that brings art into the classroom.
The frames will be auctioned off as part of the grand opening celebration for The Coffee Hub, a bike-inspired coffee bar opening its doors in the heart of Point Loma.
WHY: The Coffee Hub dedicates itself to supporting hyper-local causes through events that combine two-wheeled fun, local art and craft coffee. As a small business owner and resident of Point Loma, Sandy Hanshaw saw the opportunity to merge her affection for coffee and bikes to create the perfect hub for her community.
