November 3: Bike Coalition to Give Out Free Bike Lights to Riders on Bicycles

Sorry, I haven't posted much around here lately. I had pneumonia and totally missed the last CicloSDias because of it. But here's some news worth sharing:

November 3: Bike Coalition to Give Out Free Bike Lights to Riders on Bicycles
Two-wheeled travelers to light up the night for daylight savings
San Diego Central Library to promote safe commuting at night

WHAT: As Daylight Savings time brings shorter days, the San Diego County Bike Coalition invites all bike commuters to receive free front and rear bike lights. The Bike Coalition and the San Diego Central Library will encourage safe, nighttime commuting with helpful tips and important safety information about riding in the dark.

WHY: The Daylight Savings transition on Sunday, November 5, means more people who commute by bikes will pedal home in the dark. As California state law requires cyclists to use front and rear lights when commuting at night, the Bike Coalition wants to ensure all people in San Diego have access to what they need to be visible on busy streets and get home safely.

WHO:
San Diego Bike Coalition
San Diego Central Library
WHERE: San Diego Central Library (330 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101)

WHEN: Friday, November 3 from 3 to 6 p.m.
