May 19: ‘Empire Bikes Back’ to Teach Safe Riding With Star Wars Theme
Bike Coalition to lead galactic bike training for kids in Southeastern San Diego
Bikeshare company to donate bikes for the event

WHAT: In a galaxy not so far away, the force of two wheels will take over hundreds of kids at Empire Bikes Back. The morning of hands-on bike safety lessons and drills at Morse High School will teach kids on bikes how to pedal safely in a controlled environment. This year, bikeshare company ofo will donate ten bikes for kids to test out their intergalactic riding skills during the event.

WHY: The San Diego Bike Coalition understands the importance of educating and empowering San Diego’s youngest riders to build the next generation of bike riders pedaling us toward a more bike-friendly future.

WHEN: Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m. – noon

WHERE: Morse High School (6905 Skyline Drive San Diego, CA 92114)
